The Academy of Saint Elizabeth, a private, Catholic, independent, college preparatory school for young women located in Morristown, NJ, seeks a high school Math teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate is passionate about teaching and learning, demonstrates excellent communication skills, embraces student-centered teaching practices, displays effective leadership skills, has familiarity with practical uses of educational technology for instruction, and works collaboratively with a team of dedicated educators. Experience in meeting the needs of diverse learners is preferred.
Responsibilities and duties of the Math teacher include:
- helping students achieve confidence in their math competency skills.
- effective classroom instruction.
- creating lesson plans and activities in accordance with the math curricula.
- evaluating student performance through regular and consistent formative and summative assessment practices.
- maintaining classroom records.
- meeting with parents, teachers, and other professionals.
- participating in extracurricular activities and school events.
Teacher certification and experience teaching honors and AP courses is preferred, but not required.
