We are hiring experienced linecooks at $16-$18/hour. Must have PM availability (we do close at 10pm and typically closing duties last approximately 1 hour post closing).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of a Stockyard Line Cook include, but are not limited to:
Collaborate and work in conjunction with team members and staff to execute orders efficiently and accurately
Prepare a variety of scratch recipes in a fast-paced environment
Maintain excellent food quality and presentation by following all recipe procedures and product specifications
Ensure proper food handling techniques as well as safety and sanitation standards
Execute special food requests while ensuring same high-quality standards
Demonstrate good judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills
Maintain a clean workplace and floor and address messes/spills immediately
Set up and break down, clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and stations
Comply with quality control standards, cost control standards and kitchen rules at all times
Assist in other back-of-house areas when needed
Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
Ability to multitask and effectively prioritize duties
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Currently hold or ability to obtain any necessary food handling permits or licenses as necessary
Two years experience in kitchen, preferably with prior experience in food preparation or as a line cook
Knowledge of proper food safety and sanitation procedures
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with Team Members and Managers
Ability to properly lift up to 50 lbs, reach, bend and stoop as needed and work effectively while standing for up several hours per day
