We are growing and seeking TWO additional Machine Operators to join our growing family-oriented business. These are full-time permanent positions, M-F 6:30 am - 3:00 pm. We will train the right candidates to operate our Mark Andy flexographic press and slitting machines. The ideal candidate will have experience working as a machine operator in an industrial factory setting (non food). Experience with label/packaging machinery a plus. Will be operating Mark Andy label print machinery as well as slitting machines to cut and customize size/dimensions of labelling and package products. Willing to train the right candidate with machining experience, preferring flexo, slitting and/or label machining experience. Salary is competitive with an opportunity for paid overtime.
Responsible for:
- Press Setup: Install tooling, mount printing plates, and set up anilox rollers, inks, and paper stock.
- Quality Assurance: Adjust ink distribution, press speed, and tension to ensure perfect print-to-print and print-to-die registration. Will work with die cutting.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine cleaning, oiling, and preventative care; troubleshoot and correct mechanical or print issues to minimize material waste.
Key Requirements & Skills
- Experience: A minimum of 2+ years of experience of machine operating in packaging/label environment a plus. Working with cutting/slitting/mark andy machines a plus.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of flexographic printing, color matching systems, and die-cutting is a plus.
- Physical & Mental Abilities: Strong mechanical aptitude, high attention to detail, and the ability to stand, lift 40#, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Must be a team player, with flexible pitch-in attitude. Proficient in basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Interest in cross-training on other packaging and cutting machinery.
