American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Tele/Neuro/Stroke unit position in Coastal Virginia, requiring prior neurology/stroke experience, Epic proficiency, and a VA or Compact RN license in hand.

Position is on a Med/Surg Telemetry/Neuro/Stroke unit (6S)

Night shift schedule: 7p–7:30a

Schedule is 3x12 or 4x12 hours per week based on candidate preference

Patient ratio is 1:7

Floating is required
-
Holiday coverage is required within the contract

Every other weekend (EOW) required

13-week contract
-
Active VA or Compact RN license currently in hand — no exceptions

Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with prior travel nursing experience also required

Prior experience working with neurology and/or stroke patients required

Epic proficiency required — no exceptions

Skills required: IV insertion and telemetry interpretation

No license or background hits will be considered

Two professional references required for consideration

Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Care for med/surg telemetry, neurology, and stroke patients
