Aftercare Staff
Aftercare Assistant Positions August 2026 – May 2027.
Athens Montessori School is seeking caring, dependable, and enthusiastic individuals to join our Aftercare Program for the 2026–2027 school year.
We are currently hiring for the following:
- Lower Elementary Aftercare: Monday–Friday, 2:45 PM – 5:30 PM
- Upper Elementary Aftercare: Monday–Friday, 2:45 PM – 5:30 PM
Aftercare Assistants help create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for students at the end of the school day. Responsibilities include supervising children, assisting with activities, supporting classroom routines, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and working collaboratively with fellow staff members.
Ideal candidates should:
- Enjoy working with children
- Be dependable, patient, and positive
- Communicate well with coworkers and families
- Be open to learning Montessori principles and practices
- Foster independence and respectful interactions among students
- Be comfortable assisting with classroom management and transitions
Childcare experience is preferred, but we are willing to train individuals who are eager to learn and work with children in a Montessori environment.
Requirements:
- Must pass a background check
- CPR/First Aid certification and Health & Safety Orientation required once hired
- Athens Montessori School covers the cost of required training and certifications
