Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Full and Part-Time Awake NOC, and Sleep NOC shifts available!
Location: Staples, Motley, and Pillager, MN
Position Summary
We are seeking Full and Part-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to support adults with disabilities, chronic mental illness, and/or traumatic brain injuries in a residential setting. This role focuses on helping individuals live as independently as possible through daily care, skill-building, and community involvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and support with daily living activities, including personal care
- Administer medications according to established procedures
- Assist with household tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry
- Support individuals in developing and maintaining life skills
- Accompany individuals to appointments, outings, and community activities
- Implement behavior support strategies and respond calmly to challenging situations
- Complete accurate and timely documentation
- Follow all care plans, policies, and state regulations
- Collaborate with team members, including supervisors and healthcare professionals
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass a Minnesota DHS background study and pre-employment drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical job duties
- Basic computer skills and ability to complete documentation accurately
- Ability to follow state and company policies, including 245D requirements
Schedule Requirements
- Full and Part-time positions available
- Evening (3PM-7PM), Awake NOC (7PM-7AM), and Sleep NOC (9PM-9AM) shifts available!
- Must be available to work assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
- Reliable attendance and punctuality required
