The Senior HR Manager is a seasoned HR leader and strategic partner to the leadership team. This position is responsible for setting and executing the company's comprehensive HR strategy, including recruiting, organizational effectiveness, culture initiatives, and employee engagement, while maintaining strong compliance standards. This role requires an experienced professional who thrives as a self-starter in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals, workforce needs, and organizational growth. Lead HR direct reports to execute these strategies.
- Advise leadership on employee relations, organizational design, performance management, and change initiatives.
- Lead talent strategy and workforce planning, including all recruiting initiatives and talent pipeline development.
- Analyze and present HR metrics (headcount, turnover, compensation benchmarking and workforce trends) to inform decision-making.
- Lead performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback, and annual reviews.
- Build and implement leadership development and training programs.
- Ensure consistent and appropriate disciplinary actions and terminations.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook.
- Oversee training initiatives, employee benefits, and leave administration (FMLA, disability, workers' compensation).
- Drive culture initiatives, including employee appreciation events and internal communication strategy.
- Assist management with union relations, including administering and interpreting collective bargaining agreements and grievance administration.
- Advise leadership team on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Manage all required regulatory reporting (EEO, OSHA, ACA) and serve as HR lead for audits and external inquiries.
- Must be willing to travel to all company locations for employee engagement (as needed, up to 50%).

- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR or HR management experience, with strong focus on compliance, employee relations, strategic leadership, and union environments.
- People management experience preferred.
- Experience supporting multi-location operations and advising senior leaders.
- SHRM certification (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) preferred.
- Strong strategic judgment, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- High level of professionalism and discretion.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems (ADP preferred) and Microsoft Office.
