Gem State Staffing is looking for hardworking and dependable General Laborers to assist with a variety of tasks in a hands-on work environment. Duties may include cleaning, loading/unloading materials, operating basic equipment or tools, and supporting skilled workers as needed. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to safety, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform manual labor tasks such as lifting, moving, and loading materials
- Clean and prepare work areas by removing debris, tools, or hazardous materials
- Assist with the setup and teardown of job sites or equipment
- Operate hand tools, power tools, or basic machinery under supervision
- Follow instructions from supervisors and team leads
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Support skilled workers (e.g., carpenters, machine operators, or warehouse staff) as needed
- Adhere to all company safety procedures and policies
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required)
- Previous experience in general labor, construction, or warehouse work is a plus
- Ability to lift up to [50-75] lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Willingness to work outdoors or in various weather conditions (if applicable)
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and ability to follow directions
- Reliable transportation to job site (if required)
Work Environment:
- May include indoor/outdoor settings, loud noise, and exposure to dust or weather
- Use of safety gear (e.g., gloves, hard hats, safety glasses, steel-toe boots) may be required
- Fast-paced and physically demanding environment
