Commercial HVAC Project Manager (Leadership Growth Opportunity)

Swan Plumbing, Heating & Air is a well-established and rapidly growing company looking for an experienced Commercial HVAC Project Manager to lead commercial HVAC construction projects while helping build and grow our Commercial HVAC division.
This is more than a traditional Project Manager role. Because our commercial HVAC department is in an exciting growth phase, this individual will serve as the day-to-day leader of the department, working closely with company leadership to develop processes, mentor field teams, and help establish the foundation for long-term success. As the department continues to expand, this role is expected to grow into a management position.

What You'll Do

Manage multiple commercial HVAC construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and profitability.

Coordinate with general contractors, owners, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors.

Oversee project planning, manpower scheduling, procurement, equipment deliveries, and subcontractor coordination.

Review plans, specifications, contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation.

Monitor project costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.

Conduct jobsite visits to ensure quality workmanship, safety compliance, and schedule adherence.

Provide leadership and support to field supervisors, foremen, and installation crews.

Help establish department processes, workflows, and best practices as the commercial HVAC division grows.

Participate in estimating handoffs, project planning meetings, and strategic department initiatives.

Maintain strong customer relationships through excellent communication and professional service.

Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Qualifications
-
3+ years of commercial HVAC project management experience.

Strong background managing commercial HVAC construction projects from start to finish.

Experience with new construction, tenant improvements, remodels, and retrofit projects.

Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems, installation practices, and construction sequencing.

Experience managing project budgets, forecasting, scheduling, and cost controls.

Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction/project management software.

Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience leading or developing a commercial HVAC department or team.

Knowledge of project scheduling software and systems.

Experience with estimating, budgeting, and project buyout.

Experience on prevailing wage and public works projects is a plus.
