Duties
- Design and deliver comprehensive lesson plans tailored to individual student needs, incorporating curriculum development and instructional modifications.
- Utilize educational technology and learning tools to enhance classroom engagement and facilitate differentiated instruction.
- Support students with developmental disabilities, autism, visual impairments, or other special needs through individualized instruction and behavioral management strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, classroom management techniques, and implementing IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) in compliance with special education law.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavioral health, and educational goals.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor student achievement and adjust teaching approaches accordingly.
- Incorporate speech therapy techniques, music therapy, or recreational therapy when appropriate to support holistic student development.
Experience
- Proven classroom experience in early childhood education, preschool settings, or private schools.
- Demonstrated expertise in special education, including working with students with disabilities or developmental delays.
- Strong background in behavior management for students with special needs and experience applying applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Familiarity with educational compliance standards, IEP development, and instructional design principles.
- Experience integrating educational technology into lesson plans to foster interactive learning environments.
- Knowledge of childhood development theories and practices related to literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and library services.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with teachers, parents, therapists, and school administrators.
