MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

A well-established food manufacturing company in the Bronx, NY is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to lead maintenance operations in a fast-paced production environment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting daily production goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and production systems throughout the facility.- Diagnose and resolve equipment failures to minimize production downtime.
- Support and maintain packaging machinery and related production equipment.
- Oversee maintenance activities involving refrigeration and cooling systems.
- Troubleshoot production issues within a food manufacturing environment.
- Lead, mentor, and manage maintenance mechanics and technicians.
- Coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently while complying with company and regulatory standards.
- Utilize computer systems for work orders, maintenance records, and reporting.
- Partner with production and operations teams to improve equipment performance and plant efficiency.
Qualifications:
5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food processing or food manufacturing.- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, motors, sensors, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Extensive mechanical aptitude with experience maintaining industrial production equipment.
- Hands-on experience with packaging machinery.
- Experience working with industrial refrigeration equipment and systems.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience managing maintenance personnel.
- Strong computer skills, including maintenance management software and Microsoft Office.
- Proven problem-solving and root cause analysis abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
