ICON STEEL is seeking an Estimator to join our growing team in Marana, Arizona. This position will be responsible for reviewing plans and specifications, performing quantity takeoffs, obtaining vendor pricing, preparing proposals, and helping secure new work throughout Arizona.
Responsibilities:
- Review plans, specifications, and bid documents
- Perform quantity takeoffs for structural steel and miscellaneous metals
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
- Prepare detailed project estimates and proposals
- Identify scope gaps, exclusions, and risk items
- Coordinate with project management, detailing, and fabrication teams
- Attend pre-bid meetings when required
- Maintain bid logs and estimating records
Qualifications:
- Construction estimating experience preferred
- Structural steel or miscellaneous metals experience strongly preferred
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Experience with Bluebeam and Microsoft Office preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
Compensation:
$55,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
Higher compensation may be available for candidates with significant structural steel and miscellaneous metals estimating experience.
