This position will cover a leave of absence from August 24th through November 20th at several schools in the area, supporting students’ access and participation throughout their day.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Missouri
- Experience or interest in working in school settings and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to adapt schedules to serve a caseload with multiple needs and locations
Role Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and deliver direct occupational therapy services for approximately 32 students, totaling around 800 minutes each week across assigned elementary, middle, and high schools
- Develop and manage your weekly schedule with initial guidance and ongoing oversight
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in alignment with school and professional standards
- Communicate regularly with supervising OTs, teachers, and families to maximize support for each student
- Adapt interventions and environments to help students achieve IEP goals and succeed in their daily routines
