POSITION SUMMARY
- Position will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring effective individualized developmental programs for assigned clients and their families. The incumbent works with individuals in the California Early Start Program for the San Andreas Regional Center.
- This position focuses on supporting early communication, language development, social communication, and feeding when appropriate. The Speech-Language Pathologist collaborates closely with Early Intervention Specialists and other team members within a routines-based, parent coaching model to support communication development in everyday activities.
- Services are primarily provided to children ages 0–3 through the Early Start program; however, the clinician may also provide services to children older than three through private-pay services offered by the organization.
- This position may be offered as full-time or part-time, with flexible scheduling options depending on clinician availability and caseload needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide in-home/ community-based, routines-based intervention for children ages 0–3 years old who have been identified as having or being at risk of developmental delay or disability
- Provide intervention for children older than three when appropriate through the organization’s private-pay services.
- Coach parents and care providers on strategies and activities to promote development across the five areas of development: physical development, adaptive (self-help) development, cognitive development, speech and language development, and social-emotional development
- Provide discipline-specific support in areas such as receptive and expressive language development, early communication, social communication, play skills, feeding, and early speech sound development.
- In some cases, serve as the Primary Service Provider (PSP) within the Early Start model, coordinating services and supporting the family across developmental domains while collaborating with other team members.
- Collaborate with Early Intervention Specialists, Occupational Therapists, and Physical Therapists, and other providers through consultation, coaching, and occasional joint/overlap visits for training and support.
- Monitor, evaluate, and record client progress according to measurable goals described in treatment and care plan (Individualized Family Service Plan—IFSP)
- Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports per regulations and timelines
- Maintain assigned caseload by scheduling all authorized hours, corresponding on noted discrepancies, and communicating any challenges in a timely manner
- Ability to effectively communicate with clients and their families verbally and in written correspondence
- Understand and works with the various support systems available in the community, particularly the San Andreas Regional Center
- Possesses excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to handle emotionally charged situations via trauma informed care
- Collect information about clients through interviews, observation, and tests
- Maintain confidentiality of records relating to client's treatment, in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Attend staff meetings and trainings
- Ability to adhere to company policies and procedures, including adhering to timelines/ deadlines pertaining to billing and timesheets
- Other duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active California Speech-Language Pathology license
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Must be CPR certified (adult, child, infant, AED) & First Aid
- Experience working with children and families from varied socio-economic and cultural backgrounds
- Experience or interest in early intervention, parent coaching models, and routines-based intervention preferred
- Knowledgeable of developmental milestones, medical and developmental risk factors, developmental disorders, genetic conditions, and other factors that could impact child development
Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
