CAD Designer — Civil-X, LLC $40-$55/hour, depending on experience | Hybrid/Remote | Manatee/Sarasota County projects
Civil-X, LLC is a civil engineering firm specializing in land development for commercial and residential projects throughout Manatee and Sarasota counties, FL — from site planning through grading, drainage, and permitting with local and state agencies.
We're looking for a CAD Designer with 5+ years of AutoCAD Civil 3D experience to prepare site plans, grading/drainage plans, utility plans, and construction documents, and to help manage submittals to Manatee County and SWFWMD. You'll work independently with minimal supervision, incorporate agency and client comments into revisions, and help maintain drawing standards and QA/QC. Our senior CAD designer will get you up to speed on our workflows, drawing standards, and permitting process during onboarding.
Requirements: 5+ years of Civil 3D experience (grading, pipe networks, corridors, surfaces); AutoTurn experience a plus. Familiarity with Manatee/Sarasota County Land Development Code and SWFWMD permitting preferred but not required.
Compensation & Benefits: $40-$55/hour DOE, paid overtime for anything over 40 hours/week, a health insurance stipend of up to $500/month, PTO (all standard holidays plus a firm-wide break covering Christmas and New Year's week, 2 weeks to start, 3 weeks after your first year), and $750/year toward relevant training or certifications.
