We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team in Gastonia, NC. The CNA will provide direct patient care and support to residents/patients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being in accordance with care plans and facility policies.
This role is essential in maintaining a high standard of care and improving the quality of life for those we serve.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients/residents with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
- Monitor vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration) and report changes
- Help with mobility, transfers, and positioning to prevent injury or bedsores
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and observations
- Assist with feeding or meal setup as required
- Ensure patient rooms and common areas remain clean and safe
- Respond promptly to call lights and patient needs
- Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals
- Follow all infection control and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Active North Carolina CNA certification (required)
- High school diploma or GED
- Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient-focused mindset
- Ability to lift and move patients (up to 50 lbs with assistance)
Experience
- Preferred: 6 months–1 year of CNA or patient care experience
- New graduates are encouraged to apply
