Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including data entry, journal entries, and account reconciliations using various accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, and other financial systems.
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Process payroll accurately and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintain detailed records of financial transactions following GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) standards.
- Prepare financial reports, summaries, and analysis to support budgeting and financial decision-making.
- Conduct account analysis and balance sheet reconciliation regularly to verify the integrity of financial information.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with solid understanding of accounting principles such as double-entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and journal entries.
- Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks (especially QuickBooks Online), Xero, Sage, and other financial software platforms.
- Strong knowledge of corporate accounting practices, non-profit accounting (a plus), and public accounting experience is desirable.
- Familiarity with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) for data analysis and report writing.
- Ability to perform account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, account analysis, and general ledger accounting accurately.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of budgeting processes and financial concepts necessary for effective financial management.
