Responsibilities
- Assist licensed electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems on construction sites and commercial facilities
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams accurately
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform wiring, conduit bending, and component installation
- Follow electrical safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others
- Support the testing of electrical circuits using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to verify system integrity
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored after use
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while adhering to NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association code) standards and NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements
Requirements
- Prior experience or exposure to industrial or commercial electrical work is preferred but not required; a strong desire to learn is essential
- Knowledge of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems is a plus
- Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and construction experience is advantageous
- Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment such as ohmmeters
- Basic understanding of electrical safety procedures and NFPA 70 compliance standards
- Willingness to work on construction sites in various environments; physical ability to stand, bend, lift heavy materials, and perform manual tasks as needed
- Frame carpentry or related construction skills are a nice-to-have addition that can support your growth in the field
