Perform startups, certifications, preventative maintenance, and scheduled maintenance on UPS and battery systems.

Lead and execute UPS replacements and new installations, ensuring minimal disruption to clients.

Diagnose and repair all types of UPS systems, including emergency repairs, without supervision.

Install, troubleshoot, repair, start up, and commission various UPS systems and related equipment.

Operate equipment such as UPS systems, battery systems, PDUs, ATS, and AC/DC rectifiers.

Lead teams of varying skill levels, providing guidance and ensuring project completion on schedule and within budget.

Communicate effectively with general contractors, subcontractors, partners, and clients.

Assess manpower requirements and estimate materials needed for maintenance and installation projects.

Monitor crew productivity and safety, taking action when necessary to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Foster a positive team environment and mentor less experienced technicians.

Maintain accurate documentation and communicate clearly with internal teams and clients.

Regular and reliable attendance is required.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

High school diploma or equivalent.
-
3 to 5 years of experience servicing UPS systems.

Electrical and mechanical experience with UPS systems, DC systems, and familiarity with major OEMs (e.g., Eaton, Mitsubishi, Schneider, APC, GE, Emerson).

Knowledge of or willingness to learn AC/DC theory, electronic components, and circuitry.

Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as digital multimeters, amp clamps, phase rotation meters, power quality analyzers, IR cameras, and oscilloscopes.

Understanding of proper use of isolation devices, arc-flash suits, and PPE.

Competency in series, parallel, and series-parallel connections.

Ability to interpret torque values, apply torque marks, and visually inspect installations.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.

OSHA 30-hour certification.

NFPA-70E Safety Training.

Thermography Level 2 or higher certification.

US Citizenship required.
