Duties
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as slicing, chopping, and portioning ingredients following recipe guidelines.
- Support the culinary team by preparing ingredients for meal service, including slicing techniques and portion control.
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas through regular cleaning routines.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including dishwashers, slicers, mixers, and other small appliances.
- Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure proper handling of ingredients and finished dishes.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal prep activities and ensure timely service.
Qualifications.
- Basic knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices.
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment like dishwashers, slicers, or mixers is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and maintain a positive team environment.
- Prior restaurant or food industry experience is beneficial but not mandatory; willingness to learn on the job is highly valued.
