Overview
Join our dynamic Final Mile Delivery team and be the vital link between our company and satisfied customers! As a independent contractor professional, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting packages from our distribution centers to customers’ doorsteps. This role offers an energetic environment where your driving skills, customer service expertise, and physical strength come together to create a positive delivery experience. Whether you're experienced in commercial driving or eager to develop your skills in last-mile logistics, this is your chance to thrive in a fast-paced, rewarding setting. All positions are paid, ensuring your efforts are recognized from day one. Must have your own 26ft box trucks. Two-men team is required with professional home appliances and furniture experience.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload packages using equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures
- Navigate assigned routes efficiently using route driving best practices to meet delivery schedules
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with recipients, addressing questions professionally, and ensuring a positive delivery experience
- Verify deliveries by checking package accuracy and obtaining signatures or proof of delivery as required
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the vehicle, performing routine inspections and reporting any issues promptly
- Assist with warehouse tasks when needed, including moving inventory or organizing stock for streamlined deliveries
- Must know how to install appliances, exercise equipment's, furniture
Skills
- Proven experience in delivery driving, courier services, or similar roles involving route driving and heavy lifting
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients
- Warehouse experience is a plus, including familiarity with loading/unloading procedures and equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or <PERSON> drivers preferred
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting and moving packages safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of manual transmission vehicles is advantageous but not mandatory; training provided if needed
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and commitment to safety standards in all aspects of work
