Caretaker / Property Maintenance Professional (Katonah, NY)

A private property owner in Katonah, NY is seeking a reliable Caretaker / Maintenance professional to help care for a large private property. This is a temporary role available to start immediately and expected to run through December, with the possibility of becoming permanent.
This is not a crew-based role. The person hired will work directly under supervision of the family on outdoor property care, garden maintenance, and coordination of larger landscape-related projects.
Schedule
Flexible weekday schedule
3–4 days per week
Approximately 30 hours per week
Flexible daytime hours
Compensation
$26–$34 per hour, depending on experience
Key Responsibilities
Garden maintenance, weeding, watering, planting, and general landscape care
Lawn care, mowing, and upkeep of outdoor areas
Maintaining the exterior appearance of the property
Using and maintaining small landscape equipment
Coordinating with vendors and assisting with bids
Helping supervise larger outdoor projects as needed
Identifying maintenance needs and communicating priorities clearly to the property owner
Ideal Candidate
Reliable, hardworking, and self-motivated
Comfortable working independently outdoors in varying weather conditions
Experience with horticulture, landscaping, or estate/property maintenance preferred
Comfortable using small equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and basic tools
Basic handyman skills are a bonus
Organized, communicative, and able to take initiative on a large property
