Staffing Coordinator / Central Supply

Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and dependable Staffing Coordinator / Central Supply professional to join our skilled nursing facility. This dual-role position is responsible for coordinating staffing schedules to ensure appropriate coverage while also managing the facility's central supply inventory and distribution. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment, and committed to supporting exceptional resident care.
ResponsibilitiesStaffing Coordinator
- Prepare, maintain, and update employee schedules.
- Coordinate staffing coverage for all shifts, including call-offs and last-minute replacements.
- Communicate staffing needs with department managers and employees.
- Maintain accurate staffing records and attendance documentation.
- Monitor overtime and assist with maintaining staffing within budget guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, AHCA, and facility staffing requirements.
- Assist with onboarding schedules and orientation coordination for new hires.
Central Supply
- Order, receive, inspect, and stock medical and facility supplies.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and monitor usage.
- Distribute supplies to departments in a timely manner.
- Organize storage areas and ensure supplies are properly labeled and rotated.
- Work with approved vendors to maintain adequate inventory.
- Assist with monthly inventory counts and purchasing documentation.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention, OSHA, and safety standards regarding storage and handling of supplies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in staffing coordination, scheduling, central supply, healthcare administration, or long-term care preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and scheduling software.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently.
- Knowledge of healthcare staffing requirements and inventory management is preferred.
- CNA preferred
- Must successfully complete all required pre-employment screenings, including Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening. Candidates requiring an AHCA Exemption from Disqualification (waiver) must be eligible to obtain and maintain the exemption in accordance with Florida law.
