Our mission is simple and urgent. To ensure that no pet is denied life saving care because their human cannot access funds at the exact moment help is needed.
Helping Paws is currently focused on serving the Denver metro area, with plans to grow our reach over time. As we expand, we are building a strong foundation of community partnerships, donors, and advocates who believe that pets are family and deserve care when it matters most. Role Description
This is a volunteer, remote role for a Fundraising Coordinator, with a preference for candidates located in or familiar with the Denver metro area. This role is critical to building sustainable funding that allows Helping Paws to respond quickly when emergencies arise.
The Fundraising Coordinator will help plan, execute, and grow fundraising initiatives, working closely with the nonprofit leadership team to develop campaigns, events, and donor engagement strategies. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, organizing ideas into action, and contributing to a mission driven organization during a formative stage.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with planning and execution of fundraising events, both virtual and in person when applicable
- Support donor outreach and engagement, including identifying potential donors, sponsors, and partners
- Collaborate with the board and leadership team to support long term fundraising strategy
- Represent Helping Paws professionally and passionately within the community
Qualifications
- Comfort engaging with donors, sponsors, and community partners
- Passion for animal welfare and mission driven work
- Familiarity with the Denver metro area is preferred
