Design Technician III
We are seeking a Design Technician III to support the design and development of mechanical components and systems for complex manufacturing equipment. This role will create and modify CAD models, develop design concepts, and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, and materials teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet project requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Design and modify mechanical components using Creo or SolidWorks.
- Create layouts, sketches, drawings, and design documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturability and product performance.
- Support prototype builds, manufacturing, and field service activities.
- Apply machine safety and ergonomic standards throughout the design process.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience with Creo, Pro/Engineer, or SolidWorks.
- Hands-on experience with mechanism design and mechanical assemblies.
- Practical knowledge of sheet metal fabrication (manual brake, shear, etc.).
- Experience supporting the manufacture of complex instruments or equipment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Medical device industry experience.
- Hands-on machining experience (manual mills, lathes, etc.).
- Validation and process development experience.
