Job Summary
Electrical Contractor specializing in electrical systems for large, custom residential homes is seeking an energetic, technical and detail-oriented Project Manager. Applicant must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including use of tables and setting formulas for extensive calculations, must be able to use our database for entry and analysis, and must have experience in reading blueprints, plan specifications, equipment and lighting specification sheets and elevations. Applicant must have construction and electrical knowledge and have experience in the construction industry.
Responsibilities:
Purchase Orders, Change Orders, Communications, Submittals, Plans and Elevation Mark ups
- Tracking and organizing communications that affect changes and pricing, including plans, specification sheets, elevations, RFI's and SK's.
- Updating internal plans for electrical installations in order to price additional work, marking plans to reflect changes, and other miscellaneous duties.
- Collaborating with field employees, CAD operator and purchasing agent on multiple projects.
- Reviewing blueprints, schematics, system designs, and contracts to ensure all changes are addressed.
- Duties may include site visits to review work needed or in-progress job status.
- Establishing and updating a schedule of values on jobs per billing percentages.
- Pricing small jobs and change orders utilizing company software. Must be able to compose written description for scope of work priced.
- Performing daily check of field records to track change order work.
- Assisting in estimating portions of other large projects as needed.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, vendors, and clients to facilitate seamless communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle
Skills
- Electrical knowledge combined with experience in construction environments
- Proven expertise in construction estimating and construction management practices
- Strong understanding of system design principles, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and NEC compliance
- Proficiency with industry-standard software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, McCormick, Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with contracts management and negotiation strategies within the construction industry
- Time management skills coupled with a proactive approach to problem-solving on fast-paced construction sites
Ability to read complex schematics and technical drawings accurately while ensuring adherence to safety standards
Pay: $72,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
