About the Role
TH Media is looking for a Video Producer to own pre- through post-production on our one-off and campaign video work — long-form testimonials, commercials, ad spots, and other standalone projects. This role is focused specifically on long-form and campaign-focused, project-based work. You're the person who owns these projects end-to-end: real planning, a strong directorial eye, and a process that holds up from first concept to final delivery.
You'll own the full lifecycle of your projects: pre-production planning, shoot days, and post-production through final delivery. You should be comfortable leading a shoot, making creative calls in the moment, and carrying a project through editing without needing someone else to manage the process for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Pre-Production
- Plan and scope one-off and campaign video projects from initial concept through shoot-ready
- Develop shot lists, storyboards, and production plans that set each project up for a smooth shoot
- Coordinate logistics — locations, talent, equipment, scheduling — for shoots across Iowa and the Midwest
- Production
- Lead and execute shoots for long-form testimonials, commercials, ad spots, and other one-off content work
- Make strong creative and technical calls on-set — framing, lighting, performance — without needing direction on every shot
- Manage gear and crew on shoot days, keeping production on schedule and on budget
- Post-Production
- Own editing from rough cut through final delivery, including color, sound, and motion/graphics work as needed
- Ensure final deliverables match the creative and strategic intent set during pre-production
- Manage file organization and project archiving in line with agency standards
- Collaboration & Ownership
- Own the quality and timeline of your assigned projects end-to-end — you're the one accountable for getting it done right
- Partner with the Director of Accounts and Director of Content to make sure production work matches account strategy and client expectations
- Bring a point of view to projects — push for the stronger creative choice, not just the easier one
What We're Looking For
You’re a fit if you are:
- Experienced across the full production lifecycle, with 5+ years of professional video production experience spanning pre-production, shooting, and editing — not just one piece of it
- Comfortable leading long-form, project-based shoots (commercials, testimonials, campaign work) where planning and process matter
- Strong technically leading and operating — camera, lighting, and audio on set; confident in your edit, color, and sound work in post
- Organized enough to manage multiple concurrent projects, each with its own timeline and stakeholders
- Willing to travel for shoots across Iowa and the Midwest
- Someone who brings a strong creative point of view and isn't afraid to advocate for the better choice
