Overview:
We are in the process of installing a new Extrusion line and will require six dedicated Production Associates to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, be able to read a measuring tape, perform quality checks, and package product on pallets. Lifting equipment is provided and warehouse is air conditioned. Excellent Benefit package. Two training pay increases during first year. Shift schedule is 8:45 am to 9pm or 8:45pm-9am. Off every other weekend. 4 hours of overtime guaranteed with schedule format. 10% Night Shift Differential pay. We are looking for long term employees. Excellent training program.
Duties:
- Responsible for performing required quality checks on each production line in their zone as specified by job jacket.
- Responsible for proper packaging of order i.e. labels, cradles, pallets per specifications of job jacket.
- Responsible for checking blenders as required by shift supervisor/manager.
- Responsible for completing a 1st piece check sheet for each change over.
- Responsible for verifying all paperwork is complete and accurate (tally sheet, inventory locator, extrusion work orders, daily production reports, labels, etc.).
- Responsible for complying with safety programs, including PPE, reporting defective equipment, safety hazards, etc. to shift supervisor.
- Responsible for maximizing production rates while maintaining a quality product.
- Responsible for preparing for upcoming order changes as required by shift supervisor/manager.
- Responsible for assisting other zone operators when needed.
- Responsible for pulling rolls from Extrusion lines and recording roll weights and any other data required by job specifications.
- Responsible for removal and storage of finished product, stretch wrap product, label and any other materials in a timely manner.
- Responsible for zone housekeeping, assurance of proper and safe storage of materials and disposal of trash.
- Responsibility for performance of any other duties as required.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is preferred
- Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions and blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Be able to read measuring tape
