Hello,
The job consists of visiting a patient who is located at Valley Preybs hospital. The visit will be for 3-4 hours. for now 3 days a week, 2 week days and one weekend, hours will be between 9am to 1pm (flexible).
While you are there there are 3 things mainly that you will need to perform. 1st is suctioning the patients mouth. He is trached and pools saliva in his cheek, 2nd is basic mobility exercises, 3rd is being a advocate for the family when it comes to his care by speaking to the nurses and relaying concerns in person.
The family is in communication with the hospital everyday practically but as they've come to realize the patient doesn't exist to them unless something is happening or routine checks every few hours. The patient is non verbal and not coherent currently. Family can provide some basic exercises to perform.
