Job Title: Temp Buyer
Shift: M-F 1st Shift 8am-4:30pm (30-minute lunch)
Qualifications:
- High school degree or general education degree (GED) required.
- 5 years’ experience purchasing, negotiating, price discount schedules, and budgets preferred
- Strong skills in using SAP, including MRP systems required
- Demonstrated abilities in communication, organization, and persuasion are essential.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Strong in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
- Skilled in multitasking and prioritizing actions

Responsibilities:
- The Junior Buyer supports procurement functions.
- This role contributes to efficient sourcing and purchasing of MRO, packaging, and other materials, helping drive cost-effective resource management.
- By managing purchasing processes and supporting strategic initiatives, this role is essential to maintaining operational excellence across the site.
- Oversees all MRO purchasing processes for the San Diego site, including managing quotes, bid waivers, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Responsibilities also include placing purchase orders for capital expenditures, supporting the reconciliation of goods receipts with invoices, and actively participating in daily planning meetings.
- Monitors supplier performance, with a focus on quality and on-time delivery. Proactively identifies alternate sources to enhance supply chain resilience and expedites orders to mitigate delays.
- Vendor reports are regularly reviewed to ensure order fulfillment and to address any discrepancies.
- Collaborates closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Customer Service to support product launches and execution plans.
- Additionally, works with the Supply Chain team to ensure accuracy in packaging cycle counts.
