Role Overview
We are supporting a GC in the search for a Superintendent to oversee a
$20M, 140,000 SF interior fit-out project within an occupied shopping center in
Queens, NY, with construction scheduled to commence in
August.
This opportunity is ideal for either an up-and-coming Superintendent ready to take the next step with the support of an experienced team, or a seasoned Superintendent looking to finish their career with a stable contractor delivering high-quality commercial interiors. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day field operations, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring work is completed safely and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all on-site construction activities from mobilization through closeout.
- Manage subcontractors, site logistics, and daily field operations.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager to maintain project schedule and milestones.
- Conduct daily site walks and ensure quality control standards are met.
- Enforce OSHA and company safety standards.
- Lead subcontractor meetings and coordinate inspections.
- Resolve field issues and maintain clear communication with clients and project stakeholders.
- Ensure project documentation and reporting are completed accurately.
Requirements
- Superintendent experience on commercial interior fit-out projects.
- Experience delivering retail, shopping center, commercial, hospitality, office, or mixed-use interiors preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing and subcontractor management.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- OSHA certification preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $100k - $150k(DOE).
