Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of hair services including cutting, styling, coloring, and hair extensions to meet client preferences and enhance their natural beauty
- Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client records, and sales transactions
- Apply makeup and grooming techniques such as straight razor shaves and barbering services to provide comprehensive grooming options
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by cleaning tools, stations, and ensuring compliance with health regulations
- Engage with clients through effective communication to understand their needs, provide expert advice on hair care products, and upsell suitable services or retail items
- Manage store operations efficiently by assisting with inventory management, product merchandising, and supporting store management tasks
- Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques, providing feedback, and fostering a collaborative team environment
Qualifications
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license with experience working in the beauty industry
- Proficiency in hair styling techniques including cutting, coloring (color theory), and hair extensions application
- Knowledge of salon software systems such as MINDBODY for scheduling and client management
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with diverse clients
- Experience with sanitation procedures to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
- Familiarity with makeup application techniques for various occasions
- Ability to upsell products and services effectively while maintaining a positive client experience
