Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Medical Records (HIM) professional to join our team at Storybrook Care and Rehabilitation. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing exceptional customer service to our patients, families, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records, including admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and Meaningful Use
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for medical records management
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and staff
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Requirements
- 1 minimum years of experience in Medical Records or a related field
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Health Information Management (HIM) or related field preferred
