Responsibilities
- Safely operate shuttle buses, vans, or limousines to transport patients to medical facilities, pharmacies, and other destinations.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing support as needed for those with mobility challenges.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of vehicles to ensure safety and comfort.
- Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and dispatch staff to coordinate schedules and address any concerns.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to ensure secure transportation at all times.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to verify vehicle condition, including checking fluid levels, brakes, lights, and tires.
- Handle heavy lifting when necessary for wheelchair securement or assisting passengers with mobility devices.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience in shuttle driving or bus driving preferred.
- Prior experience as a delivery driver or commercial driver is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with paratransit services, school bus driving, or limousine operations is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with passengers and team members.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently when assisting passengers or handling equipment.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics to identify issues before they become safety concerns.
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and a compassionate approach toward passengers requiring special assistance. Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
