Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated, reliable, and energetic Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team on Mondays and Wednesdays! Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and oral health evaluations.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while ensuring radiation safety protocols are followed.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health.
- Maintain accurate and detailed electronic health records (EHR) using systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
- Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control measures, to maintain a safe clinical environment.
Skills
- Proficiency with Dentrix for scheduling, documentation review, and medical records management.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and general dentistry procedures.
- Experience with pediatric dentistry practices and providing care for pediatric patients is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures accurately while adhering to safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills for client education, team collaboration, and patient care discussions.
- Healthcare infection prevention expertise, including sterilization techniques and infection control standards aligned with HIPAA regulations.
