Hanyang ENG is seeking a highly organized and proactive HR Assistant Manager to support and help lead our Human Resources function, with a strong focus on recruiting and hiring alongside broader HR operations. This role partners closely with the HR Manager to execute HR programs and helps oversee day-to-day HR activities.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in office management, HR, or recruiting functions
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Familiarity with labor laws and HR best practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field preferred
- Bilingual proficiency in Korean is a plus and will be considered an asset
Key Responsibilities
- Lead recruitment efforts for open positions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and managing the offer process
- Coordinate the full hiring cycle, including reference checks, offer letters, and new hire documentation
- Help develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with company goals
- Support the HR Manager as a point of contact for employee concerns and help facilitate conflict resolution
- Help implement and coordinate performance review processes
- Assist in designing and administering compensation and benefits structures to attract and retain talent
- Maintain and help update HR policies, ensuring consistency and fairness
- Help promote a positive work environment and company culture
- Support compliance efforts with federal, state, and local labor laws
- Assist with HR-related matters and coordination with legal counsel as needed
- Help identify and mitigate organizational HR risk through sound policies and practices
- Support the development and rollout of employee engagement programs
- Assist with diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
- Help oversee HR technology systems and ensure accurate data management
- Coordinate HR processes, including payroll support, benefits administration, and employee records
- Assist in monitoring market trends and recommending compensation adjustments
- Help develop training and development programs to build employee skills
- Support leadership development initiatives
- Assist in workplace investigations and help recommend corrective actions
- Support talent pipeline development and workforce planning efforts
- Help ensure compliance with hiring regulations and best practices
- Provide input to senior management on HR-related policies and workforce planning
