We are seeking a motivated and friendly Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while efficiently handling transactions. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries.
- Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Process sales transactions using POS systems and ensure all items are scanned correctly.
- Provide product demonstrations and information to enhance customer experience.
- Assist in maintaining store cleanliness and organization.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and empathy.
- Support the team in achieving sales goals through effective customer service.
- Perform basic math calculations for cash handling and retail math tasks.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail environment, preferably in grocery or retail sales.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on phone etiquette.
- Basic math skills to ensure accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Familiarity with cash registers and POS systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform product demos effectively to engage customers.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
