Job Description:
Hampel Oil Distributors, Inc. is a family-owned and operated wholesale marketer and distributor of finished petroleum products that was started in 1976 by Al Hampel. Now with 21 locations in 7 states Hampel Oil continues to grow with the times.
The Pricing & Inventory Manager provides primary support to the sales team in providing quotes for opportunities that they are pursuing or business they are protecting. This position is responsible for analyzing and completing TM price requests/quotes that will allow our sales team to win new business while also maintaining a healthy gross margin, as well as being capable of placing orders with our suppliers when needed. This position will report to the Director of Pricing & Inventory.
This position will be based in Wichita, KS at our Corporate office. We require you will live near Wichita if hired.

- Average pay: $85,000 - $100,000 per year plus incentive bonus
- Work a typical schedule of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary: Pricing
- Preparation of sales quotes for sales department
- Setting up of pricing in SAP for new customers to ensure accurate initial invoicing
- Setting up new inventory in SAP and extending information to other Hampel Oil locations
- Benchmarking Hampel Oil pricing against competitor and vendor reference pricing
- Prepare customer-specific price history analysis to support quotes and contract renewals
Secondary: Purchasing
- Order lubricants and chemical products for all Company warehouses using vendors’ internet portals to place orders
- Create purchase orders in SAP to vendors
- Tracking orders until products are successfully received into the Hampel Oil locations
- Communicate with vendors on any changes on the purchase order

- Working computer skills including Microsoft Office packages (Word & Excel) and knowledge of Accounting data entry packages (SAP)
Requirements:
- 5-8 years Purchasing and/or Pricing experience
- Direct experience with sales teams and suppliers
- Understanding of product cost, freight and profit margin to establish customer pricing that will allow our sales team to win new business while providing sufficient profit margin to increase company profitability
- Great customer service attitude to support co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner
- Strong computer skills and Microsoft Office Suite Experience especially Excel
- Good organizational, detail oriented, and time management skills
Additional Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge of SAP software systems
- 1-3 years supervisory experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from four-year college with 3-5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
