The On-Site Project Manager (OSPM) – AV oversees the planning, coordination, execution, and closeout of audiovisual installation projects at client job sites. This role owns on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction.

Manage day-to-day on-site operations for AV installation projects, serving as the primary point of contact for clients, general contractors, engineers, and internal teams

Oversee installation of AV systems, including displays, sound systems, control systems, conferencing solutions, and related infrastructure

Own project schedules and milestones, proactively flagging risks to deliverables

Conduct site walks, verify jobsite readiness, and resolve installation issues in real time

Read and interpret AV drawings, schematics, and system designs to guide installation

Supervise subcontractors, technicians, and labor crews on-site, including scheduling and quality checks

Track progress and provide daily/weekly status updates to internal and client stakeholders

Enforce compliance with safety standards, building codes, and company policies, including applicable ANSI/AVIXA standards (e.g., display size and viewing-position guidelines)

Coordinate equipment delivery, staging, and inventory management

Load programs and test AV control/DSP systems (Q-SYS, Extron, Biamp, Crestron, etc.)

Support system testing, commissioning, and final client handoff

Maintain clear, consistent client communication and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle

Document as-builts, change orders, and closeout materials

5–7+ years of experience in AV installation, construction, or low-voltage project management

CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) required; CTS-I preferred

Strong understanding of AV signal flow, audio systems, video distribution, video conferencing, AV-over-IP technologies, and structured cabling

Experience with Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, Biamp, Shure, Logitech, Poly, Cisco Webex, Microsoft Teams Rooms, or Zoom Rooms

Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, VLANs, PoE, managed switches, and AV-over-IP systems, including Dante and/or AVB audio networking protocols

Ability to configure and troubleshoot AV control systems, DSPs, network switches, and network-connected AV-over-IP devices

Experience managing commercial AV projects in corporate, education, healthcare, or government settings

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and construction documents

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Proficiency with project management and reporting tools

OSHA certification preferred, or willingness to obtain
