Overview
We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer with 3–10 years of hands-on construction experience to join our team. This role is ideal for someone experienced in demolition, framing, concrete, roofing, and general trade work who thrives on-site and understands the demands of TI’s, renovations, and high-end projects.
Responsibilities
As a Construction Laborer at Breeding Contracting, you will support a variety of interior, exterior, and roofing scopes, including:
- Interior Work
- Selective demolition of ceilings, walls, partitions, and flooring.
- Assisting with framing, drywall installation, and carpentry.
- Concrete trenching, cutting, and patching for plumbing/electrical.
- Site cleanup, hauling debris, and preparing spaces for inspections and build-outs.
- Exterior Work
- Supporting façade renovations, masonry, and stucco repair.
- Site preparation and setup for exterior demo and reconstruction.
- Installation and repair of doors, windows, and related hardware.
- Roofing Work
- Assisting in roof demo and removal of old systems.
- Supporting installation of new roofing materials and waterproofing systems.
- Safe handling and staging of skylights, flashing, drains, and parapet details.
- General Duties
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and job-specific equipment.
- Assist skilled trades and subcontractors (plumbers, electricians, HVAC, abatement crews).
- Ensure job sites are clean, safe, and OSHA-compliant at all times.
- Maintain and organize materials, tools, and equipment.
- Provide daily support to Project Managers and Superintendents to help keep projects on schedule.
What We’re Looking For
- 3–10 years of construction experience (commercial TI and renovation strongly preferred).
- Hands-on experience in demo, framing, concrete, roofing, and basic trade work.
- Ability to work across interior, exterior, and roof scopes.
- Familiarity with commercial buildings, high-end renovations, and fast-paced job sites.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to safety and quality.
- Physically able to lift 50+ lbs, work on ladders/scaffolding, and perform demanding tasks.
- Team player with good communication skills who can adapt to multiple projects at once.
