Job Summary
We are American subsidiary of an Italian manufacturer of foodservice equipment: www.elmeco.com/en/. With growing presence in North and South Americas, our distributors and customers require technical support in regards to the machines we manufacture. Machines are installed in restaurants, c-stores, bars, ice-cream shops etc.
Technical Support Specialist reports to General Manager of the company.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Responds to technical inquiries (email, call or txt) from the customers;
- Troubleshoots and analyze the inquiery to locate and resolve the service problems;
- Conversant in all aspects of the functional capabilities of the Elmeco product lines
- Operates on site in an on-call capacity
- Maintains service records through filing, retrieval, storage, coding, updating, and purging
- Installs, maintains, tests and repairs cooling and electricial systems and components
- Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms (to meet tolerances and product specifications)
- Assembles electric motor components, subassemblies, fabricated parts to relatively small or light subassemblies and complete units
- Uses hand tools and small power tools to assemble units
- Performs trial run of machinery to ensure performance rates and quality meet established specifications
- Trains customer employees on how to maintain and service existing machines
- Establishes and maintains relation with distributors' Service Managers and Service Departments
- Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures
- Makes decisions and establishes work priorities on essential procedure-oriented operations
- Develope procedures and policies for service department activities, records maintenance and client service calls;
- Computes, classifies, and records entries into service-based distribution system
- Maintains records through filing, retrieval, storage, compilation, coding, updating, and purging
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Performs a variety of complicated tasks and may direct and lead the work of others
Qualifications and Skills:
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/ or formal training in area of specialty
- HVAC/Refrigeration Certification is a plus
- Familiar with a variety of office management concepts, practices, and procedures
- Complete arithmetic calculations with accuracy
- Strong oral and written communication skills,
- Spanish language required
- Ability to prioritize workload and handle multiple tasks with accuracy

- Basic word-processing and data entry skills
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
