Pay Rate: $62.58/hr
Join a manufacturing operation responsible for producing some of the world's most advanced gas turbine technology. In this role, you'll play a critical part in developing and optimizing CNC machining processes used to manufacture massive, highly engineered components that help generate electricity for communities around the globe.
As a Manufacturing Engineer IV, you'll combine advanced CAM programming expertise with innovative problem-solving to improve efficiency, quality, and performance across state-of-the-art manufacturing systems. From digital twin simulations to commissioning next-generation equipment, your work will directly contribute to the future of reliable and sustainable energy production.
Design, develop, and optimize CNC programs for complex multi-axis machining operations.
Program and support 4-axis and 5-axis continuous milling, large vertical turning lathes (VTLs), vertical boring mills (VBMs), and multi-axis grinding systems.
Create efficient machining strategies for high-temperature superalloys, including Inconel, Rene alloys, and other exotic nickel-based materials.
Utilize Siemens NX CAM and advanced CAD/CAM tools to develop machining programs.
Validate and optimize machining processes through digital twin technology and virtual simulation platforms such as Vericut.
Develop adaptive probing routines, macro programming, and closed-loop machining solutions to improve process capability and consistency.
Partner with manufacturing teams to commission and qualify new multi-million-dollar machine tools.
Establish machining standards and best practices for next-generation manufacturing operations.
Troubleshoot machining challenges, optimize cycle times, and improve process stability.
Provide technical expertise to cross-functional teams, including engineers, machinists, and production personnel.
Support first-piece prove-outs and shop-floor problem-solving activities.
Share knowledge and mentor team members on advanced CNC programming and manufacturing methodologies.
Minimum 4 years of experience with offline CNC programming using a graphical CAM system.
Strong experience programming 4-axis and/or 5-axis CNC machining operations.
Proficiency with graphical CAM software; Siemens NX CAM experience strongly preferred.
Experience machining high-temperature alloys, heavy structural components, or similarly complex materials.
Hands-on knowledge of modern CNC controls such as:
Siemens Sinumerik
Fanuc
Okuma
Haas
Experience with Renishaw probing systems and macro programming.
Strong understanding of machining processes, setup optimization, process validation, and manufacturing best practices.
Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.
Experience with Vericut simulation software and digital twin technologies.
Knowledge of closed-loop machining systems and advanced diagnostics tools.
Experience supporting large-scale manufacturing environments or heavy industrial equipment production.
Previous involvement in new equipment commissioning and process development initiatives.
