Cape Leisure Corporation is the concessionaire of Silver Springs State Park, home of the World Famous Glass-Bottom Boat Tour. We are looking to hire a skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee the repair, safety, and operational upkeep of concession buildings, the historic Glass Bottom Boats, our fleet of vehicles and trailers, equipment, and grounds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, service, and repair our historic Glass Bottom Boats. As Maintenance Manager, you will oversee our crew of Marine Mechanics and you will learn to service and repair these unique vessels yourself. You will be working with DC and AC power systems, new and old electric motors, and a lithium-ion battery system aboard our only new boat. You will be responsible for inspecting and servicing engine equipment, troubleshooting, and making minor repairs. You may also be required to address problems with boat steering and hydraulic systems, and make occasional hull repairs as well as light carpentry work and painting.
- Oversee daily repairs and scheduled maintenance for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural building systems.
- Implement a proactive maintenance plan for facilities, boats, vehicles, and other equipment to prevent unexpected failures.
- Hire, train, and supervise maintenance technicians, marine mechanics and other staff.
- Source supplies and parts from outside contractors and suppliers.
- Track department expenses to stay within your budget.
- Ensure all work adheres to local building codes, health regulations, and safety standards.
- Ensure you and your staff utilise proper personal protective equipment at all times.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in a related maintenance field
- Minimum 2 years experience in a supervisory role
- Minimum 1 year experience in a marine setting
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
- Strong knowledge of battery systems and electric motors
- Strong knowledge of marine mechanics
- Strong knowledge of welding
- Other job duties may include: general building and equipment maintenance in other areas of the park.
- High School diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or facilities management; or completion of applicable certification programs and trade licenses
- Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Boater's Safety Certificate preferred (free online course)
Physical Requirements
· Must be able to move, stand, stoop and bend for an entire 8 to 10 hour shift. Tasks require consistent use of both arms and legs.
· Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and carry for short distances.
· Must be willing to tolerate working outdoors (hot or cold temperatures) and in warm interior environment.
· Must be able to visually inspect condition of facilities and equipment.

Pay: $68,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
