Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Site Facilitator - Medical Assistant to join our team at a busy Podiatry Specialty Clinic. This position is responsible for supporting daily clinic operations, overseeing staff, assisting providers, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. The Site Facilitator will supervise approximately 3–4 employees and support 2 providers while assisting with both front-office and back-office functions.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Medical Assistant with strong organizational and leadership skills who is comfortable working in a fast-paced specialty clinic. Candidates with Medical Receptionist (MR) experience are highly preferred, as this position will provide support across both clinical and administrative areas of the practice.
Duties
- Oversee daily clinic operations and ensure efficient workflow throughout the practice.
- Supervise and support approximately 3–4 employees while assisting with the day-to-day needs of 2 providers.
- Serve as a resource and point of contact for staff, providers, and patients.
- Assist with staff training, workflow coordination, and day-to-day team management.
- Support both front-office and back-office operations as needed.
- Manage patient flow to ensure an efficient and positive patient experience.
- Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints.
- Prepare patients for podiatric examinations, treatments, and procedures.
- Assist providers with foot and ankle evaluations, diabetic foot exams, wound care, nail procedures, injections, splinting, casting, and other in-office procedures.
- Apply and remove dressings, walking boots, braces, casts, and compression wraps as directed by the provider.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments while maintaining exam rooms according to infection control standards.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Support medical records functions and ensure patient information is properly documented and maintained.
- Assist with appointment scheduling, referrals, insurance verification, and prior authorizations.
- Monitor clinical and office supplies and help maintain a clean, organized, and professional environment.
- Facilitate communication between providers, staff, and patients to promote excellent customer service.
- Address day-to-day operational concerns and escalate issues appropriately when necessary.
- Ensure staff follow established clinic policies, procedures, and patient-care standards.
Skills
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in a medical office or specialty clinic.
- Podiatry, foot and ankle, orthopedic, wound care, or similar specialty experience is preferred but not required.
- Previous lead Medical Assistant experience is a plus.
- Medical Records (MR) experience is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems and electronic medical records procedures.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and clinical office procedures.
- Ability to effectively support both front-office and back-office operations.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to oversee multiple employees while supporting the needs of multiple providers.
- Excellent patient-service skills and a professional, compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate patient documentation.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new healthcare technology and software.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
