Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Lead Closer to join our team, a pivotal role responsible for managing the final stages of real estate transactions with precision and professionalism. As a Lead Closer, you will oversee the comprehensive review and processing of title records, legal descriptions, easements, and public records to ensure seamless closings. Your expertise in real estate law, title search procedures, and transaction management software will drive efficiency and accuracy. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service while adhering to underwriting guidelines and legal standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end process of real estate closings, including title review, documentation review, and legal description analysis.
- Conduct thorough title searches utilizing public records, GIS mapping software, and real estate transaction management software to verify property ownership and encumbrances.
- Review title records for easements, rights-of-way, and other legal descriptions to ensure clear property titles.
- Coordinate with clients, attorneys, lenders, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth communication throughout the closing process.
- Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and legal requirements during all phases of title processing and real estate documentation review.
- Utilize mapping software and GIS tools to assist in property research, boundary verification, and easement analysis.
- Maintain accurate records of title searches, legal descriptions, and closing documentation in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in real estate transaction management, title review, or closing operations.
- Strong knowledge of real estate law, legal descriptions, easements, and title processing procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), real estate transaction management software, GIS tools, and mapping software.
- Familiarity with public records research, title search techniques, and title record analysis.
- Ability to interpret legal descriptions accurately and adhere strictly to underwriting guidelines.
- Excellent client communication skills coupled with a customer service-oriented mindset.
- Detail-oriented with strong research skills to verify property information through public records and legal documents.
