Centro Latino School is looking for a dynamic and experienced Spanish Teacher About Centro Latino School: Centro Latino has been providing Spanish and Portuguese lessons to the East Bay community for over 25 years. Our work over the years reflects our strong desire to make the study of the new language a stimulating and enjoyable experience, as well as creating a sense of community among all students and teachers. Our instructors are native speakers and professionals from five different countries. Our programs develop communicative proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. This allows students to learn Spanish and feel comfortable applying it to their daily lives.
Duties as a Spanish Teacher:
- Plan and implement a Spanish course based on verbal communication.- Collaborate with other teachers and the direction to improve language classes- Student assessments/evaluations- Maintain regular communication with administration, teachers and students- Be available to teach in the evenings Monday - Thursday and Saturday mornings. Must Be able to teach both private and group classes.
Requirements: Native Spanish speaker- Has excellent communication skills that allows to easily interact with young and adult audiences- Prior proven work experience in a classroom setting - At least 2 years of experience as a Spanish teacher- Has a positive, fun and energetic attitude - Committed to work for at least one year- Is passionate for culture and communication at all levels
Start date: July 2026 (or as soon as possible)
Compensation: to be determined
Schedule: Part-time evenings Monday - Thursday and Saturday mornings. We can also add more times and days to the schedule overtime if interested.
