MAJOR FUNCTIONS: To serve the students attractive and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness, and friendliness. Supports all team nutrition concepts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assists the first cook in the preparation of foods by standardized recipes and menus.
2. Transports food to counters and stores leftovers based on National Sanitation Foundation guidelines.
3. Cleans cafeteria tables, faculty dining, and serving area.
4. Washes cooking utensils and returns them to proper storage.
5. Maintains general cleanliness in work areas.
6. Must be able to participate in wall washing, floor care, equipment cleaning, and pots, and pan washing.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Knowledge in use and care of equipment used in food preparation
2. Good math skills
3. Ability to get along with students, faculty, and coworkers
4. High school diploma or GED
5. Cafeteria experience helpful
6. Must possess good attendance record
NOTICE: House Bill 190 mandates that we request check of BCI & FBI records regardless of how long an employee has resided in Ohio. This means all new employees must pay a total of $48.00 for fingerprinting.
