“Caregiver – No Heavy Care Required” “Resident Companion / Activity Assistant”
Comprehensive Community Rehabilitation Services, Inc. is seeking a compassionate and dependable team member to join our assisted living community. This role focuses on supporting residents with daily engagement, meal preparation, and meaningful activities in asmall, home-like environment.
Our residents are largely independent and do not require complex medical care, showers, or extensive personal care, allowing staff to focus on building relationships, creating a positive atmosphere, and enhancing quality of life.
This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys interaction, companionship, and creating enjoyable experiences for others.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage residents in daily activities, conversation, and social interaction
- Assist with preparing and serving meals and snacks
- Participate in and help organize outings and recreational activities
- Provide light assistance and supervision to ensure resident safety
- Maintain a clean, comfortable, and welcoming living environment
- Encourage independence while offering support as needed
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding resident needs

What This Job Is NOT
To help set clear expectations:
- No showers or bathing assistance required
- No brief changes or heavy personal care
- No complex medical care or skilled nursing tasks
Qualifications
- Caring, patient, and positive attitude

- Reliable and able to work as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage with elderly residents in a respectful and friendly manner
- Previous caregiving or assisted living experience preferred but not required
Preferred Qualities
- Enjoys cooking or helping in a kitchen environment (food handlers)
- Creative and energetic (activities, outings, games, etc.)
- Strong sense of responsibility and compassion
- MAT/CMA
