Fleet & Equipment Mechanic — Day Shift & Night Shift Rockwood Sustainable Solutions
About the role
Rockwood Sustainable Solutions is hiring Fleet & Equipment Mechanics to keep our trucks and yard equipment running safely and reliably. We're filling both a day shift and a night shift position — let us know which you're applying for (or if you're open to either) in your application.
Shifts available
- Day Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Night Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM
What you'll do
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on trucks and yard equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance on a set schedule to keep equipment available and on the road
- Maintain accurate repair and parts-usage records
- Follow all shop safety procedures and keep the work area organized
- Communicate equipment status and downtime to your shift lead/supervisor
What we're looking for
- Mechanical/diesel technician training or equivalent hands-on experience
- Comfortable diagnosing and repairing both truck and heavy equipment issues
- Own basic hand tools preferred
- Reliable, safety-first mindset and strong communication with your team
- Willingness to work the shift you're applying for (day or night)
Physical requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in varying shop and outdoor conditions
- Frequent bending, kneeling, and standing throughout the shift
- Preference given to CDL A OR B License
