Summary
We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our dedicated team at Ridgecrest Post Acute in Phoenix, AZ. In this role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing the quality of life for our patients by assisting them with their rehabilitation goals and daily activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients.
- Support patients in activities of daily living (ADLs) to promote independence.
- Monitor patient progress and provide feedback to the therapy team.
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and techniques.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and progress.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to care planning.
- Uphold the highest standards of patient safety and comfort.
Qualifications * Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of geriatrics and patient care practices.
- Ability to assist with ADLs effectively.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and care plans.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Compassionate approach towards patient care.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
